Jan Wild - Amusing Shorts

Amusing short poems based on images seen around Symphony Hall.

By Jan Wild

The Apple and the Harpist

It waits
plump and full
and tempting, oozing
love and fertility, green
and shiny, flecked with crimson
secure, sure of its place in creation
inspiration for Haydn and Rossini
symbol of sex and love.
Plump and full and
tempting it waits
for a harpist
called
Eve.

Grand Piano

When I think of the
Fingers and feet that have touched
you, I smile a slow smile

Piano Stool

Upside Down with your
legs in the air, patiently
waiting for a pianist.
