BOLLYWOOD STEPS - THE STAGE IS SET

The next five days will see the assembly of the set outside Town Hall in Victoria Square, in preparation for three free performances of nutkhut’s Bollywood Steps, created by Simmy Gupta, a major British Bollywood outdoor dance spectacular which takes place on Friday 9 October (8pm) and Saturday 10 October (3pm and 8pm).

The stage, an impressive set of steps in front of Grade I listed Town Hall will be the setting for the show’s dazzling dance numbers, fireworks, colourful costumes and water effects.

nutkhut’s Bollywood Steps, forms the centrepiece of Town Hall’s 175th anniversary celebrations and is set to capture the imagination of up to 12,000 people over the three performances.

Members of the public are invited to join hundreds of local schoolchildren, youth dancers and dhol drummers in a moment of mass participation in the show’s magnificent wedding scene.

About the Show

Introduced by Bobby Friction, the show will feature dazzling dance numbers, stunning architectural lighting of Town Hall, fireworks, colourful costumes and water effects. nutkhut’s cast will be joined by hundreds of local schoolchildren, youth dancers and dhol drummers, and there is a moment of mass participation for the entire audience during a magnificent wedding scene.
